future imperfect

I am the DC chapter's treasurer and a lifetime member of Computer
Professionals for Social Responsibility. I was also the budget planner
for CPSR's Communications
Unleashed, a national educational/activist conference, in October of
1996. It was a thrill to hear the speakers (though not all the news was
good) and see it all come together. However, I'm a lot less active than I used to be,
my free time having been taken up by all of the above. Maybe I'll get back to it in a
bit. As the CPSR poster says, if technology's driving the future, who's steering?

I should probably rejoin the ACM and
and get involved in some of their special interest groups (SIGs).
-
I'd like to revisit one of my favorite DC haunts. The
Library
of Congress has one of the most beautiful interiors in D.C., and cool
exhibits to boot. However, I really shouldn't until I visit other places I haven't
yet (e.g., Holocaust museum, probably others).

Catch a good game of combat juggling.

At some point I would like to find some hardy souls to try out
Illuminopoly, which
appears to be a combination of Illuminati and Monopoly.
-
Attend the Philadelphia Festival
of World Cinema April/May some year.
-
Experience The
Dark Side of the Rainbow.

Build a robot.
-
Pick out a vintage poster, after I figure out where to hang what I already have.
