Dining in and around D.C.
Northern Virginia restaurants includes descriptions of places
also found in Maryland, such as Taste of Saigon, Busara, La Madeleine, and Pho 75
(all more or less on Rockville Pike).
Maryland 270 corridor:
- Sushi Chalet: Ignore the name and go for the flavors at this buffet:
Mongolian Grill (vegetarian at lunch), a wide variety of unlabelled sushi, and Korean
fare such as kimchee and crunchy vegetable "pancakes". All this and miso too! 270,
exit 9B, right on Diamondback, right on Muddy Grove, at the Weis Festival plaza.
- Mykonos: excellent Greek fare, but closed on Mondays. Just off Rockville
Pike, behind the Staples.
- Greenfields: Called "Brazilian BBQ", great buffet (try the seafood-squash
soup!), servers bring around skewers of meat to carve (different beef cuts, duck, lamb,
rabbit, etc.), excellent service. Rockville Pike between Montrose and Congressional
Plaza.
