Holidays

Although Halloween usually gives me the biggest kick, Easter always takes me back to trips to my grandmother's farm, the Easter egg contests my aunt Anita would run, and being with all my relatives in all their finery. I suppose this may be a reason why I've accumulated all these eggs. They usually stay in this cabinet, along with a bunch of china figurines from my grandmother, topped off by some bunnies. Here they are laid out for display:

If you don't see a picture, click here. On the far left, the kaleidescope egg from Trish and Larry. On the far right, the septarian nodule from Denver. In the middle are some tiny handpainted wooden eggs next to a little Easter egg eraser. The left basket has all my polished marble and granite eggs bought one Easter weekend from Tiffany's in Manhattan. The right basket has my hand-painted Ukranian eggs, other painted eggs, and a rough marble egg.

If you're enthralled by these eggs, here's a long shot where you can see the kaleidescope egg better.
